mix of all

I dont really see the sense why people gamble. Dont really bother about how much they lose at the end of the day. Just irrirated at how some of them behave.
There is this Malay men in my hostel who is so interested in following the numbers. I guess he bought numbers. Almost everyday i see him pressing on newspapers sold at the convenience shop to look at the toto or etc results...its really so irritating...

First, congrats Nicole for becoming a champion again but condolence to Chong Wei. It seems like Chong Wei has lost his momentum after winning beijing silver medal. Wake up ! I believe you can. Focus and dont get too preoccupied with other activities.

The upcoming battle in Wanita Umno elections...interesting...

Giving the reason of hike in fuel price and commodity prices

The hostel management of my college posted a notice of rise in price of food items today. Something I have expected but the amount of increase was something I had not predicted.

The Government had lowered petrol price for twice. Once 15cents and next 10cents. They had a hope that it would reduce the burden of the rakyat. Its sad to say, I cant see the impact of fuel price reduction. Price of goods remain the same. And now, students like me have to face the hike in food price.

I hope the relevant authorities can do something about it.Advice sellers not to increase.

Below are some examples of price increase in my canteen:-

Price of white rice from 0.50 to 0.80 ~ I thought rice is a controlled item and our country bought a huge amount from thailand but why...
Price of fried rice increased from RM2.80 to RM3.00 to RM3.30.

Salaries for those in private sector remains constant..how are students like me going to survive with limited pocket money..We need to eat.Cutting down might affect our wellness...

lately

Political dramas never seem to end..

The latest arrest of 3 individuals under ISA is still fresh in my mind though one of them has been released. It seems that ISA was used last time for communism. But now detention without trial is against human right. One is not guilty until proven. If they become threat to the country then bring them to court. Dont waste resources by adding detainees in the jail.

Sept 16 has passed with the continuity of the ruling coalition and continuos war of words between BN and PR. When can both sides stop it and get down to work. Its sad case to see to KLCI's continuos decline due to political instability. Right now I hope that all MP's will focus on serving the rakyat. also hope the PR can wait for their PM plan. If any coalitions perform in the interest of the rakyat, the rakyat will certainly vote them into power. Now is the time to change and reevaluate each other. Serve the rakyat first and become government later.

Party elections is another topic. Anyone who is capable to initiate change should be given a chance. They might have done wrong previously but I believe they deserve the equal chance.

P44 Permatang Pauh Election and others

By election in Permatang Pauh will be on August 26. Though its raining cats and dogs today, I believe both parties continued to campaign.

I have been following the news. There is something that I keep noticing in the papers. One individual criticising one another. As a future voter, I strongly feel that parties should promote their strength i.e what have they done so far ?

things will be very heaty and tensed. Violent acts should be avoided. Punished those involved in money politics and crime.

As for the soon to release Budget, I hope that this budget brings more goodies.Reduction in the price of fuel is what most Malaysians are waiting for. Surging food prices are almost unbearable with the fixed amount of money.

Finally our country made a mark on the Beijing Olympics Medal board. Congrats to our singles shuttler Lee Chong Wei. Though he didnt obtain the gold and I didnt watch the match, I believe he has put his best. On another note, though Mew Choo didnt win any medal for us but it was so obvious that she has a good fighthing spirit. If we fail this time, there is still next time in 2012.

On smoking, disabled and current political situation

I certainly don't understand why so many people smoke. They know that its bad for health. Passive smokers like me also suffer when they smoke. Here is what I feel like saying to smokers out there " lock yourself and close all the windows when you smoke ". I don't want to smell the smoke from your cigarette.

A few days ago, I was in my friends car when I saw a disabled senior citizen with a young man next to him. They were trying to stop taxis but no taxi was willing to fetch them. After quite some time a taxi stopped to fetch the senior citizen. I thought that the young man was related to the senior citizen. I was wrong. That young man helped the disabled men to get a taxi. This is something uncommon in the society nowadays. Taxi drivers should improve their attitude. Have a heart and be honest. Don't overcharge.

The current political situation seems so uncertain with Datuk Seri Anwar being charged for sodomy . He was released on personal bail. Looks like there will be a lot of drama's after this. Regarding the impending by election in Permatang Pauh, I hope that voters come out and vote. Vote for someone who can really serve and lives in your area if possible. You don't want to see your MP five years once I guess.

short break from politics

not blogging about politics for today....

today i want to touch about lining up.Many Malaysians still refuse to line up. They prefer to jump queue. Pushing and pushing. It gets so annoying.

Second, punctuality or being early. I sriously hate it when people come late. The pain of waiting.

Third, not keeping to their word and being fickle minded.

Fourth, not knowing how to appreciate others...

Its time to improve ..

now..

Political bickering and verbal attacks never seems to end. As one who is interested about national politics I am tired of all the attacks...

Staging walkout, challenging each other to indicate who is more supreme. Can the MP's stop all this. The rakyat has mandated both sides to serve them.

At the end of the day bickering and attacks do not good. pls realize this. The truth will always prevail. Do something to overcome the dissatifaction in certain policies. Divert attention to what is important. Electorates can easily swing their votes.

In view of the increasing fuel price, perhaps encouraging car pool and using public transport can be the solution.
The public transport especially bus needs to be improved. Pls require them to service and maintain the bus. Encourage car pool by offering small rebates for those who car pool.

that's all for now

currently

It has been a few days since the government announced the increase in price for both petrol and diesel. I can notice the initiatives to reduce the burden of rakyat. The rise in price of oil seems unending. We have always learnt about alternative seeking but i cant seem to hear any solution at this moment.

The Prime Minister has been distributing goodies to Sabah and Sarawak. I believe the citizens there are happy but I am curious....I thought the gov wanted to save money...Isnt this quite different from the objective.... Anyway, I believe there is a reason for it.

The fares for RapidKL has increased from RM1 to RM2. Metrobus is still charging 0.90 cents...I thought that RapidKL receives subsidy from the government....

various issues

Ezam's action of rejoining UMNO was the hot topic for last week. He cited reforms as one of the reasons. MP's were asked to give their views. In this critical time, I believe UMNO needs someone to assist it in rebranding. Parties who performed terribly during the recent election should move on and increase their efforts once sufficient analysis has been done. Continous reflection on the reasons of defeat without making any changes is just a waste of time.

Congratulations to the Transport Minister for their efforts to provide free rear seat belts. Perhaps the fine on those who fail to use it after a certain period of time can be imposed. The ministry needs to get the message across everyone. We dont want to hear remarks like " i dont know"..

The Bandar Makhota Cheras problem has been settled for this moment.

happenings..

From Tun Mahathir's decision to quit UMNO to Ezam's decision to rejoin UMNO and Dr Tan Kee Kwong's decision to serve for Pakatan Rakyat..Things seem to get complicated every other day.

No matter whether it is National Front or Pakatan Rakyat gov the most pertinent thing is the elected MP's perform their duties. Wasting time on issues that will not benefit the rakyat should be avoided if possible..

Voicing out opinion is acceptable. However critizing other party or any individual is not really the appropriate thing to do. At the end of the day after critisizing each other, other than trying to be more intelligent than the other i dont really see the benefit of perang mulut..

The Bandar Mahkota Cheras issue seems to be unending..

On ICJ's decision and Tun Mahathir quit UMNO aftermath

Pulau Batu Putih was awarded to Singapore while Malaysia got Middle Rocks. Which country will own South Ledge ? For now its fair that both countries own something. Dont want to think what will happen if all 3 were given to one country.

The MP for Jerlun (Mukhriz) is stuck between his dad and the party he belongs to. Loyalty to the party is something good. Loyalty or hanging on to one's personal view. Though personal view can sometimes bring unwanted consequences but if its for the good of a party why cant others try to comprehend the situation....

As a Malaysian, I hope National Front can perform like how it used to perform. Delivering promise and be humble after winning. Rebranding and restructuring will be good BUT the mentality is also important. Now that there is a live telecast from Dewan Rakyat one certainly hope that their elected MP's portrays good attributes.

It has been a few days since Tun Mahathir quit UMNO. As usual MP's have their own say about his decision..Remember how Malaysia managed to overcome 1997 turmoil without borrowing from IMF during Tun Mahathir's time. I simply cannot deny that Tun knows what is best for our country. When he started to blog I was happy to read it. And yet some wonder whether he really wrote the blog..

Lodging police reports seems to be happening so frequently. Is it for publicity ? I wonder...

On Society and Tun Mahathir's decision to quit UMNO

I was at Brickfields yesterday for the Wesak Day celebration. Majority of those who stay in Brickfield are Indians. There seems to be lack of rubbish bin in certain areas. Some buildings badly need to be cleaned up and requires new paint.

Though there was 2 RELA officers on duty, I could still see a few Indians walking around to collect parking money from those who intend to park their vehicle. Mat parking seems to be growing like mushrooms today. I would not mind paying if the parking area has been privatized. But paying to park on a government land...

A few days ago MIC President talked about rebranding MCA. He even requested more PSD scholarship for Indians and a substantial amount of money from the government for equity purpose. I am happy with the parties effort to help the Indian community. However I believe more can be done for the Indian community. The FELDA project in Pahang has helped the Malays to earn a living. Perhaps another project can be established to helped the Indians. Training programs that equipped youth with various skills can also be organized.

Tun Mahathirs decision to quit UMNO was something unexpected. However I believe Tun had his reasons for doing so. Sometimes one loves something and does not want to see it damaged . When they cant seem to do anything to rebuild it then leaving might be an alternative.

today...

The news about YB Bukit Gelugor and his remarks about the reinstatement of the JAIP Director.. when will it end? Making police reports and statements through the media..whatever the outcome will be..As a Malaysian I have always respected the Kings position as the Ketua Agama Islam. Though the king typically does not get involve in politics sometimes politics can involve Islam..

The issue of highway at Cheras is still hanging..Hopefully the Selangor government will settle it as soon as possible...

recently remarks of two YB aroused the anger of disabled. I would like to praise YB Kinabatangan for apologizing to the disabled. MP's must display good conduct. Admit and apologize when you are wrong. They must always remember..their voters elected them..Show good example. Avoid using words that will hurt or misinterpreted.

Establishment of the snoop squad by MCA should have been done earlier..As a rakyat I am curious to know the real scenario. The dismal performance of MCA and now the establishment of snoop squad. Hope that there is transparency in the squad. As a citizen I truly understand that no one is perfect. The most important thing is for MCA to rectify their mistakes.

Politicians from various parties be it National Front or Pakatan Rakyat should deliver their promise to the voters. When promises are not met voters will be dissatisfied. If the promise cannot be fulfilled explain why. Give your reasons. Voters dont want to feel deceived.

the saying " money is the root of all evil" Power too is the root to evil I guess. I believe at this moment position is not the important matter to contemplate about . Think of how to serve your constituents or perform your task effectively. Positions can come later.

The massive rebranding of MIC by its President..Hopefully past mistakes would not be repeated...Deliver your promises, air your views properly and carefully, avoid criticizing other parties of people and record what you have done..This may help a party to remain relevant . The views of young people, bloggers should also be considered

On tolls , food issue and wake up call

There will be a study on highway concessions by the Works Ministry. One of the outcome may be lower toll rates. The number of cars on road is increasing. Toll concessions like PLUS, GrandSaga, Sprint and etc have existed since my childhood days.

Some residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras were guarding at the second toll collection point. With the help of certain equipment they managed to remove the barrier build there. The removal of the block lead to a few outcomes. The traffic has improved since road users need not be caught in congestion. The toll concession company seems disgruntled with this. Trying to stop road users from having a free lunch.Hope this issue will be resolved soon. Not all parties will be satisfied no matter how things end up to be. Without the 2nd toll booth residents returning late from work will certainly be less stressed up. Sales for houses build by the developer may also rise.

The issue of toll never seems to end. Previously toll increase lead to unhappiness among road users. The continuous rise in the price of commodity and supplies followed by increase in price of fixed asset..One certainly cannot imagine how things will be like in near future.

The government has decided to use 4billion for stockpile purpose. So far efforts of BERNAS in ensuring adequate rice for all Malaysians should be commended. But how long will we be able to sustain with the decreasing exports of rice produing countries. Perhaps Malaysians should increase the intake of vegetables and other items. Cut down on rice and wastage . Hotels offering buffet meal may start penalizing those who dont finish their food.

Tun Mahathir's speech in Putrajaya once again reminded politicians to wake up from the political tsunami. As a Malaysian I certainly hope to see changes from the election aftermath. The signal from voters should not be taken lightly. Waste of time talking about matters that does not benefit the "rakyat" can be reduced. Solve matters amicably . Avoid using the legal way if possible. Heed the useful yet timely advice from our premier. I believe he wants what is best for Malaysia.
